No medical devices without the right mounting solution

The development of equipment mounts and equipment support systems, whether to complement our own products or on behalf of customers, is part of our everyday work. To date, we have developed well over 100 different device holders and have a great deal of experience in this field.

Basically, we distinguish between device holders for integration into our own patient transport systems (ITS, Heavystar, PTS, HTS) and mobile device holders for use in hospitals and rescue services - called Starflex-Pro solutions. 

Every year, new medical devices come onto the market, but we are rarely able to use the medical device manufacturers' mounts because they either do not have a mount for your device, the requirements are not sufficient for the intended use, or mounts are simply too large and too heavy. Some holders also require a large clearance so that the device can be inserted from above, for example.

  

Most of the time, we have little space available on our transport systems because of the compact design or because of a large number of devices to be integrated. The total weight also always plays a major role.

In contrast to most of the brackets used by medical equipment manufacturers, our products are made of a special aluminium alloy used in aviation that hardens and becomes extremely rigid.

Most of our holders have strengths of more than 20 g up to 40 g and are always equipped with quick-release locks for rapid fitting and removal of the devices.

Depending on the type of device holder, they are designed to be screwed to horizontal or vertical surfaces, or to be used on device rails or quick-release locks.

In any case, today a device support, no matter how small, must go through a complete, time-consuming development cycle, from risk analysis to testing, in accordance with the standards.  

The following examples are intended to give you a rough overview. A presentation of all the mounts developed so far would go beyond the scope of this article.
